Enterprise and Business Solutions deliver IT services, tools and infrastructure to Schibsted Marketplaces. Our goal is to empower the businesses, functions and employees by providing innovative, secure, and cost efficient IT services. Our services are engaging and impactful, we don’t just follow, or respond to requests - we fearlessly innovate, and create new services to help our internal customers.
- We ensure that people in Schibsted Marketplaces have the equipment and tools needed to collaborate and work effectively
- We monitor and support operations of a multitude of solutions, and manage incidents when they occur
- We deliver IT solutions that can be shared by many companies and distribute cost in a fair and predictable way
The role
You will lead Enterprise and Business Solutions and be responsible for Schibsted Marketplaces’s IT vision and strategy, planning and execution in close collaboration with stakeholders across the whole organisation. Supported by a dedicated leadership team, you ensure that IT solutions are used effectively to support growth, enable innovation and maintain effective operations. Together with the leadership team you:
- Establish and implement continuous-improvement programs for the IT organisation
- Recommend fit-to-purpose execution-supporting tools and frameworks
- Ensure effective communications internally and with business stakeholders
Key responsibilities:
- Lead an organisation of talented IT professionals, responsible for delivering innovative solutions that help our employees, functions and businesses work more efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout Schibsted Marketplaces - including CTOs as well as other shared functions like People and Finance - to deliver IT solutions that drive our business forward
- Lead the leadership team in Enterprise and Business Solutions and promote the values in Schibsted Marketplaces
- Secure strong vendor management, efficient procurement processes and compliance aligned with the system portfolio
- Ensure IT operations are cost-efficient and aligned with the overall business strategy
- Involved in due diligence of potential acquisitions and on- and off-boarding of new companies.
- Define and manage budget across IT systems shared across the whole company, and drive effective cost containment initiatives.
Qualifications and personal characteristics
- Ready for or experience as a CIO, backed up with relevant leadership experience
- Good knowledge of IT operations, cloud services and IT strategy. Experience in outsourcing is a plus.
- Broad knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with proven experience leading leaders and building high-performing, engaged international teams.
- Solid networking, collaboration, and influence skills, adept at driving change in complex environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with a knack for articulating technology solutions in business terms. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or comparable practical business experience. Additionally, relevant industry experience would be considered an asset.
The position reports to EVP and head of Schibsted Foundation, Sven Størmer Thaulow, who is part of the executive management team in Schibsted Marketplaces.
The job location is either Oslo or Stockholm.
