Manager of Integration Solutions
Schibsted Media is establishing a new IT organisation that will be responsible for all IT services in the new company. As the Manager of Integration Solutions, you will be part of the leadership team for the Applications Solutions department, which is responsible for setting up and delivering the new future-proof Media application portfolio aligned with the overall IT Strategy.
The Integration Solutions team is a pivotal part of our IT department, tasked with ensuring seamless interoperability across our diverse suite of applications and platforms. As a key component under the Application Solutions umbrella, this team of skilled professionals works closely with various business units to design, develop, and manage integration solutions that enable fluid data exchange and deliver excellent application services. Focusing on innovation and scalability, this team plays a critical role in architecting and delivering the new application portfolio.
What will you do in this role?
Build up your organisation which will both support, drive and finalise the split of your services from the remaining Schibsted organisation during the temporary service agreement period - to the new News Media setup; at the same time looking proactively on how to best deliver on a long-term integration platform in close collaboration with Enterprise Architects.
As the Manager of Integration Solutions, you will:
- Lead the team responsible for the design, implementation, quality assurance, monitoring and ongoing management of integration solutions across various platforms and applications.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand integration needs and translate them into robust, scalable solutions.
- Oversee the development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of integration solutions to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in API development, data exchange protocols, and integration patterns.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the exploration of new technologies to enhance integration capabilities and other areas where improvements can be made
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet the organisation’s objectives and deliverables.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors who provide software, hardware, or consultancy services.
Your background/experience:
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Hands on experience in designing and implementing integration solutions using a variety of platforms, middleware, and APIs.
- Experience with integration platforms such as Mulesoft.
- Excellent project management capabilities, adept at balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of data models, database design and data integration patterns.
- Experience of stakeholders’ management, including effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Also good if you have:
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Certifications related to project management or specific integration technologies.
- Proven experience in developing an integration platform in accordance with a technical strategy, as well as maintaining and evaluating it to adapt to changes over time.
