About the role

We are looking for an interim Head of Product Innovation (12 month temporary contract) to ensure a strong product range and growth opportunities in the Scandinavian market. You will lead the innovation team and be responsible for the product portfolio including strategy, research, developing product content for Sweden, Denmark and Norway related to, among other things, burgers, packaging, desserts etc. and ensure strong project management with colleagues in marketing and other functions. This role also includes projects within sustainability.

In the role, you will also communicate with several different roles and departments both internally and externally, so it is therefore important that you enjoy communicating with people and be able to adapt your communication to the person you are talking to. As a person, you must have leadership skills, be analytical, and structured, have financial skills, broad marketing skills, and have a high energy level.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the innovation team (part of the marketing organization) with the responsibility of developing the team members and ensuring great collaboration among Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
  • Product portfolio strategy for Burger King Scandinavia with a 1-3 years launch plan including new campaigns, menu optimization and ingredient improvements.
  • Lead the development of product ingredients from idea to finalized concept including contact with suppliers and supply chain.
  • Develop sustainable products within, among other things, packaging, and ingredients.
  • Carry out and analyze market research, business cases etc. for new product platforms.
Requirements
  • Higher education preferably master's level within Innovation, Management, Business development or similar.
  • 7+ years of work experience in marketing, project management or economics, it is an advantage if it's from the QSR or FMCG. Similar roles are Brand manager, Product manager, Product developer, and Business developer.
  • Team leadership experience (preferably more than 3 people)
  • Background of being strategically involved and leading projects as well as being hands-on in developing products. A large passion for food is a plus, or even to have chef or restaurant experience.
  • Very good communication skills in Swedish, Danish Norwegian and English, verbally and in writing.
  • Availability to travel in average once per month within Scandinavia.
