Nilsson Energy is now strengthening its team with a Mechanical Engineer. You will take on a broad and important role within the company with significant personal responsibility. Nilsson Energy's office and workshop are in Gothenburg.
You will be heavily involved in multiple projects that the company will undertake, ensuring that the process facilities are designed optimally, both technically and economically, and according to the conditions outlined in the process description, as well as current environmental and safety requirements. You will be engaged throughout the entire process, from concept to implementation and commissioning, and responsible for some important components including compressors and storage tanks.

You will be heavily involved in multiple projects that the company will undertake, ensuring that the process facilities are designed optimally, both technically and economically, and according to the conditions outlined in the process description, as well as current environmental and safety requirements. You will be engaged throughout the entire process, from concept to implementation and commissioning, and responsible for some important components including compressors and storage tanks.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop Technical specifications and participate in technical discussions with suppliers and contractors and in the evaluation of bids.
- Responsible for selecting components in consultation with the purchasing department and ensuring manuals, certificates, etc., from suppliers.
- Ensuring the application of current design standards within mechanics.
- Developing detailed budgets/cost estimates in consultation with the project manager.
- Involved in reviewing technical specifications for mechanical equipment and coordinating technical solutions and equipment choices with other discipline leads.
- Monitoring that orders are placed within the approved budget and conducting receipt inspections of delivered equipment.
- Assessing spare parts requirements and service schedules/arrangements for future maintenance organization (together with service & maintenance).
- Reviewing the development of maintenance instructions and training materials for training relevant personnel on mechanical equipment.
- Participating in addressing overarching issues related to assembly, testing, and commissioning.
- Participating in FAT and SAT for major equipment at the customer's and supplier's sites, as well as during the startup of facilities at the customer's site.
- Involved in warranty and quality issues concerning mechanical equipment.
Who are you?
- You have an engineering degree, or extensive work experience, with a focus on energy, gas, or heavy process industry, and experience working with pressurized systems.
- You have several years of experience working with interfaces involving different types of engineers and software developers, to understand the overall picture and the development of a complete facility.
- You have experience working with AutoCAD.
- Experience in layout and piping is an advantage.
- You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- We believe you are a responsible and communicative person with a solid interest in technology and a desire to learn new things.
- You have a strong ability to manage your own work and are motivated by solving problems.
