What You Will Do

● Inspire, lead, shape, and grow a software engineering organization consisting of 3-8

team members.

● Manage and drive procurement for third-party products that your team depends on.

● Drive continuous improvement, focusing on quality in your own team and across teams.

● Scope and own a problem space, develop fact-based arguments, present to senior

management or CXOs, and articulate a vision and mission statement.

● Prioritize and optimize for the highest speed in execution.

● Take calculated risks, anchor with different stakeholders, and articulate short- and

long-term consequences.

● Continuously develop relationships between product, engineering, and key stakeholders

across all domains.

● Influence and drive software design discussions.

● Translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans for your team.

● Play a key role in helping us continue attracting, developing, and retaining great

engineering talent.

● Act swiftly to changes in direction, re-evaluate priorities, and steer the team accordingly.

● Manage the budget for the team and dependencies.

Who You Are

● Proven experience in leading and managing software engineering teams.

● Strong background in software development and engineering practices.

● Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate

your team.

● Experience in driving procurement for third-party products and managing budgets.

● Ability to develop and present fact-based arguments to senior management.

● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take calculated risks.

● Experience in developing relationships with key stakeholders across multiple domains.

● Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and quality in software

engineering teams.

● Ability to translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans.

● Experience in influencing and driving software design discussions.

● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to act swiftly in changing environments.
