Quality Assurance Manager Sweden

Main duties and Responsibilities

You will be a part of the SCAN division Food Safety team and the Quality Assurance Manager for Sweden, consisting of a QA assistant reporting directly to you. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the business in improving workflows and ensuring quality and food safety for our traveling customers. This includes implementing and maintaining our Food Safety Management System based on ISO 22000 Food Safety Standard, planning, and executing internal and external audits. Your analytical and communication skills are crucial for success, as you will oversee units in Sweden (Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Göteborg-Landvetter Airport, and Malmö-Malmö Airport) and travel to audit our network across seven units in three countries.

  • Responsible for coordinating hygiene and food safety issues and topics in Sweden.
  • Ensuring ISO22000/HACCP are implemented, structured, and complied with.
  • Plan and conduct monthly internal and external audits to ensure all processes comply with ISO 22000 standard. Key contact for food authorities, third body auditors, and customer auditors.
  • Organize and deliver QA training sessions, to increase food safety and quality awareness among employees. Mentoring, training, and coaching monthly sessions on food safety team members to improve employee development.
  • Coordinate and be the contact person when external auditors (like SGS & NFA).
  • Coordinate and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Keep updated on national and international Food Safety regulations.
  • Ensure we comply with roles and regulations from the Authorities.
  • Conduct food testing and review microbiologic test results.
  • Build and update our internal quality and food safety documentation.
  • Deviation control and investigation.
  • Work closely with Gate Gourmet Northwestern Europe QA colleagues in reviewing and benchmark against industry standards, and to audit the corporative network across nine units in five countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, and The Netherland).
  • Ensure food safety & quality culture within the organization trough leading and motivating the management team.

Qualifications education

  • Education within food safety and microbiology.
  • Preferably with an ISO auditor exam.
  • Educated in change management.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, both oral and in writing.

Work experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, food experience preferable.
  • Expert in HACCP and internal inspection systems.
  • Experience with ISO22000.
  • Experience within people management and change management.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in an international and multicultural environment.

Due to our location at Arlanda Airport, which is classified as a Level Three security zone and a protected area, we conduct security screenings for all potential employees. To pass the security screening, you will need to provide documentation of your activities over the past five years, proof of a clean criminal record, and a valid ID card. We will provide more details on this process later.
