The role

As legal counsel, you will be a key player in supporting Rud Pedersen and ensuring that we make well-informed decisions from a legal perspective. You will be part of a fast-growing organization and are expected to make independent decisions while also being able to collaborate with other functions within the company. You will report to the company's CFO based in Gothenburg and the Chief Strategy and Legal Officer in Copenhagen.

The role includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for handling corporate governance matters, commercial contracts, compliance issues, GDPR & CSRD, coordinating with external legal counsel and authorities on complex or specialized legal issues.

The role may also include some aspects of M&A, and it is an advantage if you have worked with this before.

The work environment is innovative and international, and you will have ongoing contact and collaborate with representatives from the other 16 subsidiary companies across Europe, as well as seek assistance from external lawyers in the relevant jurisdictions when needed. The position is based at Rud Pedersen's headquarters in Stockholm, or alternatively in Gothenburg. Travel may occur within the role, primarily within Europe. Start date for the position is as soon as possible by agreement.

Who Are You?

To succeed in this role, we believe you have at least five years of relevant experience as a lawyer at a firm and/or company. To thrive in the multifaceted role of a Legal Counsel, you likely see yourself as a generalist with a focus on business law. Great knowledge and interest in commercial contracts are essential, and if you also have experience working with compliance (mainly data protection and sustainability) or transactions, this is considered advantageous. Previous experience working in an international context is positive but not required. You are expected to work fluently in Swedish and English, which is the corporate language.

As a person, you should be confident in yourself and your competence, and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-growing organization where you need to be flexible and able to prioritize appropriately. You should also appreciate personal interactions and enjoy social settings. In the role of Legal Counsel, it is important to be pragmatic, convey a sense of trustand at the same time enjoy collaborating and building relationships with employees aswell as other stakeholders.
