About the role
As Engineering Manager at Tv.nu you are responsible for leading our tech team and to develop and deliver on tv.nu’s tech strategy. You are part of Tv.nu’s management team, report directly to the CEO and work closely with the product team and platform leads to transform and future-proof tv.nu’s tech stack, platforms and metadata handling. In addition, you will work closely with Schibsted Media’s tech organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and coach a high performing and skilled engineering team of 9 engineers that is distributed across several countries / cities
- Part of the tv.nu management team and take active part in management work and execution. This includes e.g. setting strategy, OKRs and organisation/ team related activities
- Manage and develop our tech strategy and technical roadmap - balance between technical improvements and solving prioritised ambitions
- Accountable for tv.nu’s tech stack, front-end and apps and together with our tech lead and platform leads assure that tv.nu has a future-proofed technical setup and metadata handling
- Facilitate collaboration and actively participate in forums across Schibsted Media. Assure technological alignment with Schibsted Media’s strategy and platforms when applicable
About you
- You have experience in leadership and people management in engineering teams
- You have a good understanding of technology
- You are driven, have a strategic mindset, like to see things from new perspectives and to challenge status quo
- You have an inclusive and participatory leadership style
- You are pragmatic and solution oriented
- Fluency in Swedish and English on professional working proficiency level
Bonus skills and experience:
- Experience from app-based / user-facing products and development
- Understands the complexity of a mature product and tech stack while balancing new development
- Project & change management experience
