Tax Specialist - VAT

About us:

Stegra, formerly known as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

• Ensure end-to-end VAT compliance, including preparation of VAT returns and other VAT related reports.

• Support the accounts payable and logistics team in VAT related matters, such as contracting and import of goods and services, both EU and non-EU.

• Ensure the organization to be up-to-date on changes in VAT legislations.

• Support inVAT process standardization projects, such asensuring a correct VAT set-up in our ERP system.

• Support month-end closing procedure with regards to VAT.

• Ensure internal and external control processes in the area of VAT.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in VAT compliance and import VAT rules.

• Knowledge of VAT regulations within and outside the EU.

• Ability to support various teams on VAT-related matters.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Fluency in Swedish.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in corporate income tax.

• Experience with the import of goods and services outside of Europe.

Interest in corporate income tax is a plus as well as experience from import of goods and services outside of Europe. Location: Stockholm or Boden, H2GS AB
