EHS Specialist

We are looking for a new colleague in the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) department. The focus will be on the Swedish PPG business in their efforts achieving PPG's EHS targets, both internally and externally. The position will be responsible to support the executing of PPG's EHS programs and procedures.

We are flexible to accommodate that the new colleague is based in Nykvarn or Stockholm.

The position is specifically focusing on securing EHS safety and driving local activities towards PPG internal benchmark standards. The position will join a team of passionate EHS professionals in the EHS Nordics Team and will work closely with the PPG EMEA EHS organization. The position will report to EHS Manager Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

• Seveso calculations, audits, PHA updates, reporting to authorities

• Emission and wastewater monitoring programs

• Compliance assurance to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Environmental permits, and authority reporting

• Driving a diverse set of EHS targets and programs incl. ATEX, Emergency response, and field safety program

• Chemical health and safety assessments and instruction of use

• Regulatory surveillance

Qualifications

• You are probably an EHS professional with a relevant academic background (chemical, toxicology, or environment engineering or similar)

• You must have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant EHS/Sustainability experience

• Experience with EHS management systems incl. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is required

• Flexible to meet the needs of our business, changing requirements from PPG and authorities

• Motivated and have the ability to work with many stakeholders internally and externally (incl. being present and comfortable on manufacturing shop floor

• Work independently on driving projects and initiatives. Experience with LEAN, stakeholder management and project management is a clear advantage.

• Fluent in English and Swedish and/or Danish
