Senior Manager Cost Control

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Senior Cost Controls Manager to join our bold and passionate construction execution team based in Skellefteå, Sweden. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Controls Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up Construction execution and contribute to expanding one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job:

As the Cost Controls Manager you will be part of the Construction Leadership teams, setting the controls strategy and implementation of the factory through to the start of production. You will be part of an integrated team and responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, Contractor Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation and Project Reporting.

About the team:

You will be an integral part of the Project Execution Team and work intimately with the Program, Project Management, Engineering and Procurement teams.

You will manage and support a team of Cost Control Engineers, Planners/Schedulers and Clients Owners Representatives to carry out the Project Controls of all construction projects on the Ett campus.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The Cost Control Manager reports directly to the Project Controls Director and is responsible for the cost control, cost estimating, and project benchmarking functions and personnel assigned to projects.
• As a functional manager this role includes the development, maintenance and adherence to internal project accounting, cost control, cost estimating, and benchmarking standards, procedures, contract requirements, and project and program status reporting.
• The Cost Control Manager is responsible for recruitment and management of employees and consultants and for ensuring that projects are staffed appropriately.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

• BSc/MSc in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• Solid technical experience in all cost management areas, planning, estimating, pre-contract, post contract and final account.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Analytical skills
• Proficient in MS suite
• Passion and enthusiasm for project Execution, Construction and Commercials
