Project Manager

Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil-fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation to radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships.

By combining sensors, computers, and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft flies above the water, reaching speeds and ranges previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats.

After launching the Candela C-8, Europe’s currently best-selling electric boat, we are venturing into Commercial Vessels, Public Transport and passenger transfer with the revolutionary foiling Candela P-12 Shuttle.

We are now looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our project management team.

Your mission

As Project Manager you will work to further evolve and make customer adaptations on our existing boats or in new projects of various size and complexity. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams of highly skilled expertsfrom R&D & Operations, making sure everyone is involved and engaged towards the main objectives of the project. The project spans from setting the customer specific requirements to handle many parallel design changes and updates of documentation to the build of the boat and testing to reach certification in respective customer’s country.

Core responsibilities

• Plan and manage the projects from requirements to industrialization,on a detail level, with an agile approach.
• Ensure communication, flow of information and documentation within the projects
• Be involved in certification of boats with contact to DNV, local operator and resp customers local authorities.
• Be closely involved with the material supply and production planning
• Responsible for keeping track of the projects’ schedule, cost and quality
• Work cross-functionally with various departments and report to internal stakeholders and with other projects running in parallel based on the same platform

Your profile

We believe that you are an experienced project manager from complex product development projects. You have the ability to be agile and pragmatic and capable of managing demanding situations to achieve short-term targets without compromising long-term objectives. You are kind and curious problem solver, with strong communication skills and a team oriented attitude. To succeed in this role we also believe that you have:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering
• Experience from leading complex product development projects including mechanics, electronics and embedded systems and certification on different markets
• Experience of production in terms of industrialization, supply, and production planning
• Ability to work independently and take a logical and orderly approach to analyzing problems, organizing work and planning actions
• Enjoy delving into project details and readily available to assist the team when needed
• Fluent in English(verbal and written). Swedish is a merit.

This is a full-time position based at our HQ in Frihamnen, Stockholm. Work will require you to spend time at our factory in Rotebro, Sollentuna and test center at Gåshaga, Lidingö.
