PBA Prototyping Repair & Modification Operator

Radio Prototyping and Production Technology (PPT) Sweden produces test beds, early prototypes (PoC and PoP) and other demonstrators to validate and demonstrate new technology in cooperation with the companys Research, DURA S&T, PDU, and Product Management. With strategic capabilities, as e.g. SMA, wire-bonding, Analysis lab, 3D printing/scanning, CNC machines, and test chambers, PPT provides a One Stop Shop to enable innovation and technology leadership for the company. PPT is also driving the Advanced Engineering Program within Supply, coordinating research and pre-development of future production and test technologies by utilizing PPT capabilities.

Job Summary:

We are now recruiting for the position as PBA Prototyping Repair and Modification Operator within the PBA Prototyping section at PPT. In this position, you will report to the Head of PBA Prototyping.
You will work as an operator with focus on repair and modification of Printed Board Assembly (PBA) in our prototype production in Kista. As an PBA prototype repair and modification operator, you will support our prototype manufacturing to enable our PBA builds to be delivered in time and with the best quality. You will be involved with manual rework and modifications (e.g. manual soldering and BGA Repair) and help to operate our Pick & Place machines, Screen printing/Jet printing machines and AOI/SPI machines. You will also be included in the early builds of our new building practice of new PBA’s. You need to fulfill the clients high demands for quality, producibility, flexibility and cost. This means that you will work cross functional closely to different roles and functions with product development and design.
You are going to work in production, and it is needed that you work every day in the office.

If you are hired, you will be employed by Adecco as a consultant and be leased to the client.

Competence:

You will need a degree in the upper secondary school/High school or higher level, or relevant work experience (approx. 5 - 8 years) within the area. You also have quality competence and PBA competence. To be successful in this role you will need to have an outgoing and positive attitude, willingness to take responsibility and enthusiasm in facing new problems and opportunities. You have strong personal drive, a structured way in your work and can work independently as well as a team member. Since the job involves international contacts outside and within the company, fluent English and good Swedish is of high relevance together with good communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Manage to do manual rework and modifications (e.g. manual soldering & BGA Repair)
  • Manage to review soldering’s and quality with support of IPC 610.
  • Manage to do rework with support of IPC7711/7721
  • Manage to run the Pick & Place machines, screen printer/Jet printer and oven equipments
  • Manage to run our AOI & SPI equipments.
  • Manage production equipment’s and SMA material/components.

Position Qualification:

  • Knowledge in Surface Mount Assembly
  • Deep knowledge in manual soldering
  • Deep knowledge in BGA Repair
  • Basic HW and machine knowledge, to be able to run our machines.
  • Deep knowledge in IPC 610 & IPC 7711/7721 knowledge
  • Good knowledge in ESD
  • Fluent English and good Swedish
