About the team: Core HR

As part of the P&C organization, Core HR works globally and collaborates to bring professional teams together to address complex issues relating to the organization’s transformation, end-to-end employee lifecycles, effective talent deployment and mobility. We bring value through evolving Communities of Expertise (CoE) to prioritize and develop solutions together with the business P&C representatives, that support the business strategy and objectives as well as to deliver Scania’s transformation journey.

The collective goal of P&C is to empower Business Partners and Managers to ask better questions and develop comprehensive, innovative solutions that deliver quality results.

About the Job

As the Head of Global and Executive Compensation, you will drive and co-ordinate a team of highly experienced professionals and have an important role in securing Scania as an employer of choice to attract and retain skilled people in a highly competitive environment. You will be responsible to articulate and implement contemporary and strategic total reward philosophies and program to reflect the organization’s purpose, vision, culture and values.

In this position, you'll have direct responsibility for, and together with the Head People Business Partners, executive and workforce compensation, as well as global executive position grading. Your role involves overseeing, establishing, and enhancing financially optimized, sustainable and competitive programs. Regular interactions with Heads of Business Areas in P&C, Finance, Business Control, and TRATON Group/brands is anticipated.

You and your teams responsibilities encompasses leading and coordinating a cross-functional team within the Compensation Community of Expertise (CoE) to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains relating to global compensation, job grading, reporting as well as the annual salary review. You and the team will monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures.

What we are looking for

  • Leadership experience and deep technical knowledge of contemporary, innovative and compensation strategies and policies;
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into practical and implementable reward solutions;
  • A proven track record of working with compensation topics, projects and implementations in a global context;
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships;
  • Knowledge of compensation best-practice, relevant employment legislation and regulations; and
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
