Shift Manager

We are looking for committed and driven Shift Managers for Revolt Ett to help us in our mission to contribute to manufacturing the world's greenest batteries. The role is part of our passionate Revolt team in Skellefteå. By working with us, you will be involved in building the first internal recycling flow for batteries in the world. Efficient recycling of end-of-life batteries is the key to closing the cycle for batteries and achieving a minimal carbon footprint.

The need to recycle batteries is increasing and the construction of Europe's largest battery recycling facility in Skellefteå is currently underway and we will start production to separate out valuable metals for reuse in battery production in 2023. The goal for Revolt is that 50% of the valuable minerals that needed for battery production in 2030 is recycled and therefore we are already planning for more Revolt facilities in Skellefteå. So forget everything you thought you knew about working in the industry, this is going to be completely different!

As a leader, you will be part of establishing routines and learning from both equipment suppliers and commissioning teams to become knowledgeable in your area of ​​responsibility. You will be involved in recruiting staff, establishing applicable routines, working with troubleshooting, optimization and establishing root cause analyzes for machines and equipment.

You will have the opportunity to help build a competent and reliable team from the ground up and contribute to scaling up our need for personnel in Skellefteå. You will report to Production Manager alternatively Maintenance Manager.

About the team

You will be an important employee for Revolt Ett in Skellefteå. For a better understanding, we believe it is important that you actively participate when machines and equipment are installed. You will be supported by many knowledgeable colleagues throughout the Northvolt organization and you will need to develop a close working relationship with your colleagues with the aim of maximizing our production efficiency. We expect you to support, train and be a good role model for the staff. You and your team must also have good foresight and prepare for future growth. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and build your team by interviewing candidates in close collaboration with the recruitment team.
• In close cooperation with the rest of the team, participate in the installation and start-up of machine equipment, process, drive and PLC systems.
• Drive improvement work with a particular focus on safety and ensure that rules and regulations are followed.
• Make sure your team knows what to do by delegating tasks, evaluating performance and following up regularly.
• Ensure your team has everything they need to ensure SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), WIs (Work Instructions) and other instructions and policies are followed.

Qualifications

We believe that you have :

• High school or university degree or other relevant education.
• A couple of years of experience in the process or manufacturing industry as well as experience in leading others.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good knowledge from work with productivity, quality and safety and the ability to make others understand and act accordingly.
• Knowledge and experience of Lean/5S.

Bonus points for:

• Experience from the process industry - battery / pulp and paper / food / chemicals / microelectronics / oil & gas / pharmaceutical processing or similar.
• Good communication skills as you will be working closely with many different teams.
• High work ethic and good problem solving skills.
