General Director Wanted at Q-Workforce in Oil, Gas, Marine, and Metal Industry


Q-Workforce is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director General to join our team in Oskarshamn. We are a leading company in the oil, gas, marine, and metal industries. As the GM, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-functioning of the company, which includes both commercial and general management tasks. You will be a member of the Management Team (MT) and are expected to work independently, show leadership, and possess strong decision-making capabilities.


Responsibilities:


Setting Company Vision and Strategy:

- Define and communicate the company's vision, mission, and strategic direction to inspire and align employees, stakeholders, and partners towards common goals.


Executive Leadership:

- Provide dynamic and visionary leadership to the executive team and the entire organization, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.


Business Development and Growth:

- Drive business growth and expansion by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the client base.


Financial Management:

- Oversee the financial health of the company by developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to optimize revenue and profitability together with the Financial Manager.


Client Relations:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and value.


Operational Oversight:

- Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all departments, overseeing business operations, client relations, financial management, and administrative functions.


Risk Management:

- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and strategic risks that may impact the company's performance and reputation.


Corporate Governance:

- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, maintaining high levels of corporate governance, integrity, and transparency.


Stakeholder Communication:

- Serve as the primary liaison between the company's board of directors, shareholders, investors, and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on company performance, strategic initiatives, and major developments.


Talent Management:

- Attract, develop, and retain top talent by fostering a culture of learning, growth, and employee engagement, while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Innovation and Technology:

- Drive innovation and technology adoption to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.


Brand Reputation:

- Uphold and enhance the company's brand reputation and market position by delivering superior service, maintaining ethical standards, and fostering trust and credibility among clients, partners, and the community.

Commercial Tasks:

- Support the Sales Manager (SM) and Marketing Manager (MM) with the development of sales and marketing strategy.

- Actively encourage the SM to contact new clients and maintain existing clients according to the strategy.

- Serve as the primary contact for new and ongoing contracts.

- Support and control price offers and sales contracts.


General Tasks:

- Oversee day-to-day operations.

- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.

- Set policies and processes.

- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.

- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.

- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.

- Direct the employee assessment process.

- Prepare regular reports for MT.

- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.

- Provide solutions to issues.

- Serve as backup for the Office Manager.

- Participate in education and training provided by the company.


Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in the oil, gas, marine, and metal industries.

- Proven leadership skills and experience managing large teams.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Fluency in Swedish, English, and Serbian.

- Willingness and ability to work in Oskarshamn and travel extensively.
