Software Developer

SKF is spearheading the green transition in the bearing business. Here in the north, we are developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for the industry in the realm of condition monitoring which aids that green transition. Our IoT solutions provide detailed health information and actionable insights about our customer's machinery to prevent downtime. We are now taking our experience, and combining it with the latest technology in front-end, back-end, mobile apps, big data, advanced analytics and AI launching our next big initiative to develop the next-generation condition monitoring ecosystem.

What you can expect in the role

Crafting software that meets users’ needs and enhances their experience is both rewarding and challenging, and you’ll do so by:

• Develop, test, deploy, and improve software.
• Brainstorm, share insights, and collectively create something impactful.
• Code reviews with your peers.
• Maintain a culture of competence growth, innovation, and fun.
• Collaborate with other software teams or hardware teams.
• Work with product owners, architects, and technical needs.

We expect you to have

• A university degree (Preferred, Field of Study: Computer science or related field)
• High level of knowledge in coding and problem-solving working with multiple programming languages.
• Some of the tools in your toolbelt could be: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, C#, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, K3S
• Experience in agile development.
• Comfortable working in English (verbal & written)
• An openness for occasional travel if needed for specific activities.
• It is also meritorious if you have experience working in the industrial segment before.

Additional information for you

Location: SKF Office in Luleå, Sweden. This office employs about 65 people. At SKF Luleå Development Center we develop industry-leading systems for condition monitoring.
