The HVDC business of Hitachi Energy is growing rapidly to meet society’s need of electrification and green transition. A key enabler is to have an efficient Supply Chain organization, reducing cost while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery in the context of unprecedented growth. For our Supply Chain Management team, is critical to have in place the correct and full information’s regarding supply demand for the upcoming years. The growth Hitachi Energy is facing and a Supply driven Market with, in some cases, lack of capacity requires a very well and detailed Sales & Operations Planning to be established across functions allowing Supply Chain and our Suppliers/Partners to operate at best in an effective and efficient way.

The role reports directly to the Global Head of Supply Chain Management in HVDC and is part of the HVDC SCM management team, meaning that you will have a significant impact on the organization and its operation. You will work with all teams across the Supply Chain Management function, supporting them in how to become more effective and efficient as well as driving communication with stakeholders across our business.

Your responsibilities

  • You implement the SCM Sales & Operations Planning, including creation and implementation of the processes, procedures and tools as needed
  • You execute the annual Supply Chain budgeting spent plan in conjunction with each Global and Local Supply Chain manager
  • You would be appointed to follow a project called “Scale to Potential” where Supply Chain has a specific “Capacity Workstream” that must be followed up and implemented in the upcoming years to secure our business growth
  • You achieve business targets through regular review of “Scale to Potential Capacity Workstream” defined KPIs and implementing improvement plans as needed
  • You would be actively involved to support all critical Suppliers Capacity Reservation Agreements negotiations
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Your background

  • More than 10 years of experience in an equivalent industry with proven track records of successful S&OP implementation/management
  • In depth and successful experience of implementing global Sales and Operations Planning in large, international organizations
  • Previous leadership experience in strategy/roadmap creation in supply base management and/or in Material Planning functions
  • Leader with strong communication and influencing skills in global organizations
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Knowledge of specialized S&OP software/platforms and S/4Hana
  • Customer focus with ability to build effective working relationships and ability to inspire others
  • Fluent in English
