Health and Safety Manager

Location: Lilla Edet, Sweden

Client is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager for our tissue production site in Lilla Edet. Join our client in providing a professional and comprehensive Health and Safety function that meets legislative and business needs while being part of the exciting development at Edet Mill.

About Edet Mill:

• Located 50 kilometers north of Gothenburg, Sweden
• Tissue mill and international distribution center
• Annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons of tissue
• Advanced technology machine lines
• First large-scale facility to produce tissue paper without fossil-based CO2 emissions

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage emergency preparedness and business continuity on site
• Oversee ISO 45001 compliance, including internal and external audits
• Develop Health and Safety strategy towards a mature culture
• Support managers in the implementation and maintenance of Health and Safety practices
• Stay informed of legal requirements and ensure compliance
• Conduct necessary training related to safety systems and standards
• Support the Site Manager in implementing company standards and goals
• Lead incident management and investigations
• Develop and lead forums for safety improvements (e.g., Safety Committee, Traffic Management Committee)
• Manage the company’s reporting platform implementation
• Coach and implement Safety leadership programs on site

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Experience as a Safety and Health Manager in a large production organization
• Proven leadership and coaching experience in safety culture development
• Experience with TPM is a plus
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
