Do you want to be part of shaping the future of battery technology and sustainability? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where innovation meets opportunity? Battery Competence Center (BCC) in Husqvarna Group are now seeking a Senior Commodity Manager, to drive our battery innovation and sustainability efforts - with innovative technology.

About Battery Competence Center (BCC) in Husqvarna Group:

Electrification is a key strategic priority for us. To bring Husqvarna Group to the forefront of battery technology, we established the Battery Competence Center (BCC) in 2020. This organizational setup comprises a team of battery experts from different parts of the organization. Together with other stakeholders, they form the Husqvarna Group Battery Competence Center.

The BCC is a multi-site organization and a vital part of the Husqvarna Group, driving the development of cutting-edge battery solutions. Operating across Sweden and Germany, our team of approximately 85 employees specializes in Research and Development, Technology Development, Industrialization, Sourcing, and Project Management, all focused on advancing battery technology within Husqvarna Group. Our commitment to excellence and innovation has a profound impact on the products we create, from electric garden tools to robotic lawnmowers and beyond.

Your role:

  • Together with a great team, you’ll lead and take initiative in pioneering battery technology, driving electrification and sustainability with innovative solutions.
  • You will be working in a cross functional team with other buyers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and others.
  • You will work with stakeholders & suppliers to understand your product/service, its market, supply base and innovation to find ways to increase value for Husqvarna Group - including cost, quality, and sustainability.
  • By leading negotiations and building relationships with an international supplier base, you will be responsible for continuous improvement of the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain.

What We’re Looking For

  • We prioritize willingness to learn and innovative problem-solving, over specific educational backgrounds.
  • You bring 3-5 years of experience in cells and batteries, combined with strong project management skills. If you don’t have direct cells and batteries experience, senior expertise in sourcing from electronics, software, or automotive sectors is also welcome.
  • Proficiency in negotiating terms, developing sourcing strategies, and managing complex contracts is essential.
  • A keen interest in industry trends, emerging technologies and supplier landscapes is important.

About you:

We're looking for someone who excels at building relationships, motivating others and influencing stakeholders. You are great when it comes to resolving complex issues with suppliers and stakeholders, paired with exceptional organizational skills in prioritization, multitasking, problem-solving - and meeting tight deadlines.

You should thrive both independently and as part of a global team, with a proactive approach to questioning paths and creating common solutions. Ownership of your deliveries, a strategic mindset, innovative thinking and comfort presenting to senior management are also key attributes we value.

Location:

Preferred locations for this position are in Sweden (Huskvarna, Jonsered or Stockholm) or in or Germany (Karlstein or Ulm).

But, with our hybrid working environment, you'll have the flexibility to work both onsite and remote. We meet in the office 2-3 days a week. Travels will occur.

Your application:

Appy as soon as possible, but no later than 2024-08-11. We apply ongoing selection.
