Apply now!  What you will do Electromobility is a part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology, responsible for developing electromobility solutions and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments and regions. Our organization develops and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks, Buses and creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group.  The importance of electromobility is growing every day and electronics are key within the electrified powertrain. Within the Electronics Engineering Function at the Electronics Engineering Section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of hardware and software components from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase. Our responsibility includes the Hybrid Powertrain Control Unit, DC/DC converters, Electric Motor Drives, Battery Management Systems, among other control units.  Joining our team within the Electric Propulsion Management System section, you would focus on our most complex software node, the Hybrid Powertrain Control Unit (HPCU). Being a Senior Software Node Owner for the Hybrid Powertrain Control Unit you will be a key player in the most extensive Electromobility projects, with an overall responsibility for the technical content and delivery of quality assured HPCU software to different projects and products. In this role, you would be Electronics Engineering’s representative towards projects and programs, as well as towards Systems Engineering, on topics such as functional content and implementation plans, communication interface, analyze and resolution of quality issues, verification, etc.  You will be the main technical expert and primary contact toward projects, verification and aftermarket as well as for the System engineers (Requirement break-down, FMEA, analyze and plan incoming quality issues.) We are therefore looking for a person with excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. Furthermore you will ensure the embedded software is verified according to the correct level in the V-model. As well as the software requirements are created, maintained, relevant and traceable. You will contribute to the project system description and roadmap for the ECU and that the software domain is compiled, available and updated. This requires you to be structured and have a strategic understanding.  Skills and competencies  * MSc in the areas of Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics (or equivalent).  * Min. 5 years experience from embedded software-development processes and tools, preferably from automotive industry.   * Excellent communication and networking skills, ability to think holistically.  * Experience from processes and methods used for quality assurance (e.g. FMEA)  * Knowledgeable about automotive control system communication networks, such as CAN. * Knowledge of IS026262 (Functionaly Safety within automotive industry)  * Knowledge of TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment)  * Knowledge of relevant internal Volvo processes (e.g. DVP, Quality management tools, software release and integration process, etc.)  Merit:  * Experience from System Engineering  * Knowledge of Electromobility systems and subsystems (functions, Systems, ECUs, components) and products  * Knowledge of Volvo production and aftermarket processes and tools.
