We support Strategic Product Planning and Volvo Group Trucks Technology with Product Plans and strategies focusing on Battery Electric Vehicle and its electric solutions. The Battery Electric Vehicle area is of highest importance for a successful journey towards 100% fossil free transport solutions in 2040.  We are now looking for a Strategic Product Planner, Electrified Systems.  The Position Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) is the leading architecture supporting Volvo Group’s transformation and hence we must therefore ensure adequate suitability of offering for our body, charging systems and other unique electrified systems to our customers worldwide.  Your focus will be to drive the strategy and plans for Electrified Systems to all Volvo Group’s truck brands globally and coordinate with the other business areas in the Group when applicable. You always keep the customer needs and profitability in mind. This position requires also a holistic perspective including competitor analysis, future regulations and technology evolution.  In this role you will be working closely also with our electromobility and vehicle engineering teams as well as with truck brand representatives globally to secure best possible offering over time. This is an area where we brake new grounds new inventions and therefore frequent changes are part of our daily job to manage. Towards our stakeholders you are an ambassador within Electrified Systems both internal and external of SPP and will be viewed as the go-to person.  A key deliverable of yours is to keep our Electrified System Strategy in control through the Product Plan. To build and maintain this strategy you need to take a leading position and drive the alternative ways forward by anchor and present structured decision proposals with scenarios and recommendations to decision forums. Who you are You have a well-developed business acumen acquired through several years in a strategic, business development, or program/product management like position in a multinational business-to-business industry. Traits such as being analytical and structured as well as being an effective communicator are essential. The nature of this position presents challenges due to its forward-looking nature and the desired facts and figures are not always present, why you need to be openminded, tolerant to uncertainty and yet decisive. An interest in Electrified Systems for Battery Electric Vehicles is also important.  You do not have direct reports on your own, but you are nevertheless in a leading position in the company, expected to utilize your network to strongly influence on our future.  Preferably, you hold a master’s degree education or a Bachelor degree if combined with several years of relevant work experience. Experience from other industries is a merit. Since Volvo Group is in a transformation toward zero emission, the future is not all known and you need to embrace the uncertainty and work towards a solution with team work and good intelligence.  This role is preferably located in Gothenburg and includes occasional travelling domestically and internationally.
