What you’ll do In this role, you will be an important contributor to leading supplier readiness, performance, and development activities for your category within the Software & Electronics area. You will be involved in all phases of the Volvo supplier business, from strategic work to running production. Together with your colleagues in the Global Category Team, R&D colleagues and suppliers you are responsible to secure supplier readiness from early phase to launch in projects and influence suppliers to continuously improve their Q&D performance in running production. As a person you need to question the status quo or specific paths with stakeholders, and suppliers; and work proactively to build a better understanding and work for common solutions. In this role you will contribute to the company´s growth but also to your own personal and professional development.  Your responsibility: * Collaborate on Product Strategy within the category team. * Assessment and evaluation of potential suppliers, using Volvo Cars tools and methods. * Validate supplier status, using APQP process in all program phases, leading to completion of quality and capacity requirements. * Part approval process and successful launch using PPAP procedure. * Continuous improvement with suppliers during serial production. * Problem solving during industrialization, running production phase and warranty. * Change management. * Manage issue resolution for critical supplier, during sourcing, industrialization and running production phases. What you’ll bring We are looking for a person with experience in quality assurance, who is motivated to ensure quality and results and always looks at the whole picture!   Experience in the following areas is desirable: electronics, software, and EDS.  You have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent). You feel confident working with quality assurance tools and processes (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D etc). You also have a high interest in business understanding combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and you always deliver on time. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can build good relationships with suppliers. You will work in a global environment so advanced communication skills (written and oral) in English are a requirement and additional languages are advantageous. Traveling to supplier sites is required.  The mobility industry is changing rapidly, and the competitive environment and our company’s strategy might change fast.
