Let us describe the challenge we offerWe have an exciting opportunity at Polestar for a new role asJoin Ventureand Capex Controllerwho can work within a fast-paced and challenging start-up organization. You will play an important role in the Controlling of our Joint Venture and also have the responsibility for the total capex controlling. In this finance role, you are a member of a dynamic and developing team and supporting Polestar in its growth and expansion.This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg.

What you'll doThis role has two main responsibility areas. One is to actively contribute with controlling expertise in join venture contract setup and have a close dialogue with the different parties of the contracts, ie business side and various finance areas as well as the join venture. The role also includes to secure that all join venturerelated recharges are done according to contract terms and follow up of payments.

The second responsibility area include total Capex controlling, both tangible and intangible, short and long term and reporting of it to different stakeholders. Also related cashflow effects are part of your responsibilities. Role also include ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.

As this is a new role within controlling, part of the role will be to set the up the way of working both with the join venture and continue the work to develop the capex reporting and forecasting.You willreport to the Operational Business Control Manager.

Examples of tasks:

  • Responsible for consolidated capex reporting. Actual, forecast and business plan with support from programs, both balance sheet timing and cash flow
  • Responsible for vendor tooling controlling, including ensuring correct ordering and properclassification of company assets and follow up on activation, depreciation periods, scrapping etc
  • Responsible to oversee total join venture setup from controlling perspective, eg lead and drive the unit investment fee and royalty recharge and true up as towards the join venture and secure payment.
  • Take active part in contract setup with join ventureto secure correct financial implication of contracts as well as proactively set up controlling processes to be able to track related costs for recharge
  • Actively interact with global functions to secure correct reporting and follow up, ie with join venture, treasury, business office, tax, accounting, PACD, operations etc
  • Become a member that will actively contribute to develop the controlling team
  • Ad hoc analysis

Who you areWe think that you are a person with a lot of energy and broad experience in finance/controlling and automotivebusiness. You have a holistic mindset but are not afraid for get into details and apply a solution-oriented approach. In this role it’s important to being able to interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way.Other important skills for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or similar)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in controlling and automotive business
  • Strong business acumenand and abilitytowork cross functional with global teams
  • Good at interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way to many different stakeholders incl non finance
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work independently as well as jointly in diversified teams
  • Good at prioritize and be able to handle ad hoc requests
  • Strong knowledge in Excel
