As a project assistant in the Sustainable Building group, you will be part of a team of IT-, architecture-, engineering- and innovation researchers with passion for co-creation processes and analytical methods towards a more sustainable built environment. The position involves developing solutions based on the identified opportunities for Gothenburg and for the different stakeholders involved in the energy and the construction sectors. The results of the energy performance analysis will provide recommendations on how to develop an energy community / positive energy district. Information about the division The Building Technology division at Chalmers has long experience in developing digital and quantification methods and tools for energy modelling on the building and district levels. It is important that the candidate being able to work with District level energy system modelling, energy flows analysis and renewable energy integration strategies. Job description The project assistant will support the Sustainable Building research group. Quantifying and visualizing the building stock (district level), conducting the energy performance and developing the RES integration plan. Adapting and developing existing tools that integrate state-of-the-art methods and tailoring them to the needs and requirements of different stakeholders in the built environment and energy domain. Contract terms Temporary part-time (50%) employment. Qualifications MSc in Architecture, Energy Technology with experience in the digital tools, such as Grasshopper and Digital Twin applications.
