As a Category Manager you willstrategically source goods and services to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply chain reliability and sustainability.

Aurobay is seeking two Category Managers to join our Strategic Category Management team within the Direct Material department. We are looking for specialists in Electrical Components and Casting. These roles offer a dynamic and challenging environment where you will collaborate with our procurement teams in the EU and China, along with stakeholders from R&D, Strategy & Business, Manufacturing, and Logistics, to contribute to the creation of world-class powertrain solutions.

Skills and Experience

• You have 5-10 years of experience in Commercial and/or Engineering roles, including commercial negotiations and legal knowledge.
• You possess strong data and business analytics skills, along with relevant commodity knowledge and cost analysis expertise.
• You demonstrate strong business acumen combined with high integrity, and you can prioritize your work to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, you have excellent written and oral communication skills.To excel in this complex area, we seek a commercially driven and results-oriented individual. You should be motivated and creative, capable of finding new solutions and opportunities, and willing to challenge the status quo. As a strong team player with high integrity, you actively pursue self-development. You have the ability to manage parallel projects, enjoy challenges, and are focused on setting and achieving goals.

Your role at Aurobay

As a Category Manager you will:

• Define categories, build commodity business plans, develop supplier portfolios, and create sourcing strategies.
• Monitor and optimize supplier performance, management, and relationships.
• Conduct commodity analysis and provide cost indications to program teams to support product strategies.
• Perform data analysis to deliver actionable insights on market trends and product performance.
• Set cost targets based on analytics to aid procurement tactical teams in achieving annual cost reductions.
• Act as the global supplier owner, building supplier synergies for global business cases that add value to the company.
• Conduct horizon scanning to stay informed about current and future trends within the category area.
• Implement continuous improvement by reviewing existing operations, innovating processes, and generating new ideas to achieve desired outcomes.
• Enhance personal capability by maintaining an in-depth understanding of industry best practices through continuous professional development.
