What you'll do As an SW/System Test Engineer, you will be part of an agile team, working closely with other software engineers, testers, and architects. You will collaborate with UX designers and other stakeholders to define a coherent end-to-end solution. Being part of the R&D organization, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to generating innovative ideas and solutions. This position is located at our offices in Lindholmen, Gothenburg. In this role, your main responsibilities will include developing and executing automated tests, writing test code to verify the OTA functionality for current and future vehicle platforms. You will plan, lead, and perform verification and validation at the system, component, and software levels, including in rigs, HIL, and complete vehicles. Innovating and developing new test methods and tools for automated testing, ensuring alignment with requirements, will be a key part of your job. You will analyze test results, both internal and supplier-provided, and work with stakeholders to drive improvements and ensure the highest safety standards. Participating in technical discussions, offering insights, and supporting your team in achieving project milestones will be integral to your role. Additionally, you will troubleshoot, fault trace, and debug issues to ensure our systems meet Volvo’s high safety standards. Continuously evaluating and enhancing our test environments to meet the needs of future vehicle platforms will also be part of your responsibilities. Who you are & What you'll bring We are seeking a skilled and motivated SW/System Test Engineer with a degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field. You should have over five years of experience in automotive infotainment testing on the Android platform, proficiency in programming languages like Python, and good knowledge of the Robot framework and Pytest. Experience in in-car testing and log file collection, strong experience in test automation, and working on CI/CD are essential. You should also have experience with RIG setup, working on agile models, and knowledge of SDLC and testing processes (both manual and automation). Strong debugging skills, excellent communication skills, and teamwork are crucial. Experience with engineering tools such as CarWeaver, a Swedish B driving license, and good knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Gerrit, and Linux systems are required. It is also beneficial if you have a background in OTA and Basetech.
