What you’ll do Product Strategy and Architecture (PSA) department is centralized function within Volvo Cars SW Engineering. It is accountable for the Extended Vehicle SW & Electrical/Electronic (SW& E/E) Product Strategy, Overall Architecture and System Engineering. Vehicle NW design team is responsible to design the Topology, NW and communication of the complete electrical system. The System architects in our centralized team are leading innovation together with the broad community of system architects that focus on the domain level.  We offer an opportunity to design innovative in vehicle solutions. Your competence will grow in the strategic areas, and you will have a clear impact in creating future solutions enabling efficient SW and E/E systems in the SDVs (SW Defined Vehicles).  Your responsibilities include •    Lead and contribute to concept studies of complete electrical system topologies. •    Lead and argument for decisions based on the studies outcomes.  •    Lead cost efficiency and other optimization related studies. •    Follow up and evaluate realization, focus on the variant management.  •    Handle escalated risks & impediments in an environment with internal and external stakeholders.  •    Maintain the required documentation in line with Vehicle Programs timing requirements.   •    Lead the Identification and implementation of required improvements in processes and tools that support work with complete system architecture. What you ‘ll bring Ideally, you are a collaborative, communicative, curious, and result oriented professional, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Data Science with experience from SW and electrical system architecture design and implementation in Automotive business. You are familiar with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) requirements in relation to prerequisites in the SW architecture. You have experience from working in Autosar and non Autosar engineering environment with SW & E/E in focus.  We are a global team, and the minimum language requirements is English, preferable Swedish, verbal and in writing. Besides that  •    M.Sc. in Electrical, Data/SW/IT engineering or similar relevant experience with technical depth from development of embedded systems.  •    Proven experience from SW E/E architecture design and modelling, Service Oriented Architecture API first oriented  •    Experience from ECU (Electronic Control Unit), HPC (High Performance Computer) engineering, SW defined vehicle concept work •    Experience from MBSE and tools (Preferably PREEvision)  •    Strong communication & argumentation skills  •    Experience from working in the Agile context promoting cross collaboration, transparency and focus on built in quality, flow efficiency and speed in delivery.
