Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Senior Software Developer C++ – Software Download.

The vision of the client is to create a personal, sustainable, and safe mode of transportation for families, friends, and children. They are building a self-driving, fully electric, connected, and secure car. Software Download (SWDL) Team

You will join the Software Download (SWDL) team, an agile development group with strong team spirit. This team is responsible for:

• Designing and verifying Software Download technologies
• Developing the One SWDL Engine (in C++), a unified software module used across various phases such as development testing, vehicle implementation (in the client’s new Core System Platform), production, and aftermarket services

The team works closely with:

• Various system areas within the vehicle
• Customer service departments
• Manufacturing engineering

The SWDL team is part of the Base Technology Solutions agile release train, which supports all electronic control units within the electrical system. Their mission is to provide common solutions for R&D development departments, aimed at reducing complexity, lowering costs, and increasing development speed.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will contribute to the mission of enhancing the customer experience by:

• Developing the One SWDL Engine software component
• Using your expertise to help shape the development of cutting-edge automotive technology

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with C++, Linux, and GIT
• Proven skills in creating software architecture and developing technical roadmaps
• A M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Software Development, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with agile development practices
• Experience with software development best practices
• Knowledge or experience in:
  • Python
  • C
  • Gerrit
  • Jenkins
  • Android
  • DoIP (Diagnostics over Internet Protocol)
  • Software testing
  • Continuous Integration (CI)
