Warehouse Planning Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Warehouse Planning Engineer will have a comprehensive overview of the entire production and warehouse management process. This role involves planning, improving, and driving both production scheduling and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

The main responsibilities of the Warehouse Planning Engineer include:

Production Planning:

• Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring that production orders are prioritized correctly.

• Ensure materials are available for production and that the material needs are communicated to the purchasing department.

• Balance production plans with experimental plans by gathering information from relevant departments.

• Plan production and delivery schedules to meet agreed volume and timelines.

Warehouse Management:

• Create and maintain efficient inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all materials follow the correct procedures.

• Establish and oversee storage systems, maintaining accurate stock records in both the ERP system and on paper, ensuring alignment with actual stock levels.

• Ensure all materials are managed using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.

• Regularly manage and dispose of scrap and overdue materials.

• Coordinate with other departments to handle all incoming and returned materials.

Process Improvement:

• Develop and enhance planning tools in collaboration with the preparation and production functions.

• Continuously follow up on business outcomes versus plans and make necessary adjustments.

• Improve internal and external collaborations to enhance overall efficiency.

• Strive to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain excellence and delivery rates.

• Balance supply and demand efficiently considering capacity constraints, logistics performance, and resource utilization.

• Ensure the ERP system is up-to-date and user-friendly for tracking products through the process, following up with operators' reporting, and closing orders in ERP.

Safety and Cleanliness:

• Ensure safety protocols are followed in the warehouse and maintain cleanliness standards.

Job competence requirements

• Education level: At least BSc in engineering from university

• Preferable previous experience in production planning and warehouse management.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.

• Structured approach to managing multiple orders and processes simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively for planning success.

• Speaking, reading and writing English and Chinese is preferred.
