As a Transport Operations Manager you support and lead day-to-day transport needs, operations standards, transport service quality and lead time- and cost performance for our distribution center's in Eskilstuna (retail) and Borås (online) to serve our retail and online customers within the Nordics countries.

You are the direct link between DC operations and transport operations for planning and execution on given and agreed production. You lead and develop the local transport operations team.

Key responsibilities

  • Optimize and execute all transport activities related to OTC/RTC shipments- and production forecasts
  • Ensure a cost- and environmentally efficient transport network within the assigned Nordic markets and connected warehouses
  • Transport budget & KPI owner; responsible for executing the agreed KPIs
  • Execute all transport improvements and projects connected to assigned markets
  • Structure, follow and develop SOPs together with warehouse operations.
  • RFP and negotiation participant for all distribution contracts connected to the assigned markets
  • Carrier relations by setting a follow up- and meeting structure to ensure that carrier SLA and KPIs are followed
  • Drive and promote synergies between retail and online flows
  • Set/ follow up on local transport activities to support regional/global OKR’s
  • Act as the main speaking partner to local merch-, supply and sales teams
  • Set and secure plan for recruitment, succession and talent development for your team

Kravspecifikation

Our ideal candidate is an experienced leader with expertise in Operational Transport processes.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong in communicating and adapting method based on circumstance
  • Deep expertise in operational transport processes to serve online customers and retail stores
  • Pronounced transport focus, commercial sense and “can do” attitude to best serve requirements
  • clear communication skills & fluent written and spoken both English and Swedish
  • Strong project management skills.
  • People management skills.
  • Strong analytical competence.
  • Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, co-creation and people development by empowering others

Ytterligare information

This is a full-time position starting with a probationary period of 6 months. The location will preferable be Eskilstuna DC, but with the possibility to be based in Borås DC. As a Transport Operations Manager, you report directly to the DC Manager and a part of the management team. Collective agreement with Unionen.
