Become part of the international HARTING Technology Group at our location in Biel (Switzerland) as a Product development engineer* - Network connector

Here you will ensure strong connections:
  • Responsible for the development of new miniaturised connectors within the network connector sector
  • Transformation of technical feasibility analyses and concepts into innovative, cost-effective and reliable solutions
  • Development and validation of norm conforming solutions for contacting and cable connection of connectors for high frequency data transmission
  • Development of cost-effective casing, screening and contact concepts for assembly in the field or at the factory
  • Performance of simulation and validation of the transmission characteristics in collaboration with the simulation department
  • Calculation of clearance and creepage distances as well as their effects on the tolerance chain
  • Verification of the process-safe function using applicable models and simulations
  • Analysis of the requirements, implementation of development work and safeguarding the development result using applicable simulation and tests
  • Support of the production process and production approval for the global market
  • Independent planning, organisation and coordination of all necessary measures for implementation
  • With your specialist knowledge you will be part of an interdisciplinary team in the Development Department at the new site in the Innovation Park in BielThis is your connection to us:
  • Successful completion of a degree (Swiss technical university/university of applied sciences) or equivalent qualification in the engineering, micro technology or mechatronic sector or
  • well-versed in the mechatronic use of 3D-CAD (Siemens NX) and MS-Office
  • Experience in the development of electromechanical components is an advantage in the high frequency data transmission sector
  • Experience in contact technology and electrical signal transmission
  • Experience in connector technology and the processing and contacting of cables
  • Experience in the development and simulation of connectors is an advantage
  • Experience in the construction and modelling of series-produced components with high quality requirements in an international environment is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written) as well as good knowledge of German or French
  • Basic features of your character include self-motivation and a determined, result-driven and proactive approach
  • You enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary project team
