Job description:

Are you an experienced International Financial Accountant? Looking to grow within a major global organisation?

We are currently seeking a Finance Controller for our well-established team in the Nordics. This role will involve acting as a Finance Business Partner to support the General Manager in the Nordics. You will also collaborate with other Stakeholders, working to implement key initiatives and strategically drive the company to achieve its long-term goals.

The Finance controller role initially will be responsible for Norway and Finland accounting whereas existing sales companies in Denmark and Sweden remains as is. The role should develop to take on full responsibility over all four Nordics countries. The role is located with our teams in Stockholm (SW) or Ringsted (DK) however travel to all four countries may be required. The role reports to the Regional General Manager Nordics.

This role will focus on:



•Accounting, Financial Controlling, reporting, and planning.
•Responsibility for the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings including preparation of the financial statements according to IFRS and generally accepted local Accounting Principles
•Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis
•Preparation and analysis of monthly group reporting
•Hands-on responsibility for all accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, credit collection, aging, tax, etc.
•Tax accounting and reporting (VAT, profit tax, deferred tax, income tax, etc.) as well as providing support to tax audits.
•Contact for external auditors, tax consultants, authorities and auditors.


Required profile:



•Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance or recognised professional accounting qualification.
•Excellent IFRS and local GAAP knowledge coupled with solid experience in preparing annual financial statements.
•We use a range of software systems internally, so experience working with accounting software is essential.
•We are an UK headquartered organisation so fluency in English is required.
