The Team and Workplace
You will be a part of our cross-organizational DataOps-team and work in close collaboration with developers, analysts, and other Data Engineers. SVTi is the organisation delivering SVT:s online services and the DataOps-team sits in between fourteen teams at SVT Play, SVT News and SVT Barn. We have a hybrid work model , and try to meet at the office twice or so a week. We are located at SVT Gärdet, Stockholm.
About You
We believe you have worked some years in a similar position and just like us, have a big interest in data! You are comfortable using both Python and SQL and it is positive if you have been working with BigQuery in Google Cloud or any other Cloud services. If you find it exciting to experiment with other technologies like Kubernetes, Airflow or DBT, you will like it here!
As a person, we are happy to see that you are curious and eager to test new technologies and new ways of developing our products, working methods and collaborations. You have no problem expressing yourself in English and it is an advantage if you also can speak Swedish.

As a Data Engineer within DataOps, you will have a broad role where you will work with multiple data-focused solutions built on Google Cloud with BigQuery. You will among other things:
- Develop and manage streaming/real-time processing data in Google Cloud / BigQuery.
- Work with programming languages such as Python, Go, SQL and Swift
- Further develop new modules and simple solutions to enable other teams to independently solve problems
- Build data models for SVT:s different services
- Work agile and data-driven in cross-functional team and coach other teams in data

Currently SVTi has approximately 120 people working in cross functional, product oriented teams who design, maintain and develop SVT:s digital presence. SVTi maintains development plans for the interactive products in line with SVT's overall goals. Future strategies are being developed together with clients, program managers, analysts, project managers, editors, etc.
