What you will do

As Purchaser, you will be part of our Procurement Team within Piab Global Operations. You will undertake a broad role within our team working with Purchasing, MO planning, and coordinate material and part revision changes for new product introductions and for product changes. You will work in an international environment, closely with external and internal stakeholders globally.

You will:
  • coordinate material and revision changes between supply units and suppliers for new product introduction and product changes.
  • prepare required data and ERP system for new product introductions and product changes.
  • analyse and review replenishment needs and parameters
  • place purchase orders to suppliers to ensure continuous supply to/between our supply units, aiming for minimizing material shortage and optimized stock levels.
  • work proactively with shortage of material, re-planning, and communication with effected parties.
  • drive process improvements and improvements to optimize supply, for example on EOQ vs MOQ, safety stock, inventory value, and master data.
  • keep track of suppliers’ On Time Delivery and quality claims.
  • plan and follow up on manufacturing orders in collaboration with our European Supply Unit.
You will report directly to the Head of Procurement and the position is based at our HQ in Danderyd, Stockholm.

We are looking for

To succeed in this role, you need to have a good understanding and interest of replenishment and supply chain in general. As Piab’s product structures and supply chain is complex, we believe a successful candidate has the interest and capabilities to dig down in the details to get a good understanding for this. Furthermore, you want to take part in improving the way we currently work, in order to take us to the next level. You analyze problems with a structured approach, and you are able to deal with quick changes, always striving to achieve high quality results.

Skills, experience, and educational background:
  • 3+ years of experience from working with product preparation is a strong merit.
  • 3+ years of experience from a similar role, working with replenishment of direct material
  • University Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or similar
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Structured and well-organized
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience from working with product preparation is a merit
  • Experienced and skilled in ERP systems. Experience from Jeeves is a merit but not required
