Quality & Environment Manager, Nordics & Baltics

As Quality and Environment Manager you will collaborate and act as driver for our Quality & Environmental strategy, performance and culture. Ensuring that our activities always meet customers and business needs, third party and KONE Corporation requirements, processes and standards. You will facilitate and evaluate the implementation and contribute to the development of KONE Quality Management System and monitor the organizations quality and environmental performance via KPI supervision and audits.
In this role you will Lead the Nordics Quality & Environment team of six direct reports that work across country borders in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Finland and Baltics. You report to the Delivery Operations Director for Nordics and are a part of the Delivery Operations leadership team.

  • The Quality and Environmental Manager is responsible for implementing local and global Q&E strategies and setting long-term unit level KPIs in line with business strategies together with the business and business stakeholders.
  • Promotes and deploys Quality & Sustainability as part of the KONE Strategy and proactive Quality culture, actively communicates the importance of Q&E and engages the organization.
  • Assures that functional and operational leaders and teams globally and locally analyze, develop, and execute continuous quality improvements based on performance data and proactively gathers and analyses other relevant data to identify continuous improvement opportunities in the processes in full chain// end-to-end.
  • Drives progress and monitors effectiveness of continuous improvement projects, corrective and preventative actions which are being logged within the organization and provides direction and support where needed.
  • Leads and supports any required corrective actions required due to non-conformance.
  • Lead and coordinate unit´s improvement activities and development programs related to environmental, climate or sustainability matters.
  • Create Q&E action plans in the unit with objectives and KPIs, evidence of the performance and continuous improvement relevant to Q&E requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales and Customer Solutions Engineering to ensure relevant customer requirements in KONE solutions and operations are fulfilled and communicated in line with e.g. customers´ climate targets, green building requirements. (e.g. LEED, BREEAM, local accreditation programs) and other Q&E customer requirements

To succeed in your role, you need:
  • Mature leader, able to drive change, develop high performing teams and collaborate closely with the business to develop the Q&E aspects of the business.
  • Several years´ experience with Quality & Environmental Management systems and audits
ISO 9001:2015 compliance, preferably also with ISO 14001:201
  • Experience with legislative compliance in Nordics counties
  • Excellent in building strong stakeholder networks, leading across borders and working in an international and multicultural environment/matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) with wide variety of audiences.
  • A University degree in Engineering or similar technical background
