We've launched a new Assortment Strategy and are looking to hire a WASA Global Marketing Manager for the part of the range under the "Craft & Tasty Breaks" banner. It's a part of the portfolio that is not as big in volume as our core, classic crispbread but is very dynamic. This role involves leading several of our current product ranges for exceptional healthy taste experiences (Core 2.0, Wasa Thins, Din Stund, Wasa Sandwich, Sourdough, Rounds, Crackers, Biscuits, etc.), and shaping the future with innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Global Marketing Manager for WASA, you will:
  • Spearhead the global growth strategy for your category segments by becoming a business expert and be actively involved in addressing unique challenges faced by WASA in different countries.
  • Act as the primary liaison for WASA across various departments (RDQ, Supply Chain, Finance, Center of Excellence Equity & Communication, Digital, Media planning, Shopper).
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of your category segments and competitive landscape through regular and ad hoc analyses.
  • Identify innovation opportunities in designated platforms through global or local research to ensure strong concept development, grounded in robust consumer insights.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of Innovation Projects, adhering to the Barilla Phase & Gate process.
  • Contribute to the development of your product segment's communication and activation strategy, overseeing the implementation and launch of new products in regions.
  • Efficiently manage and optimize your assigned budget.

Your Profile:

  • Educational background in Marketing (bachelor's or master's degree) from a reputable university or institution.
  • A track record of 8-10 years in developing global brands within the fast-moving consumer goods industry. As a result, you have a well-cultivated international mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for data and turning insights into actions.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with the capacity to convey concise messages and adapt communication style to various contexts. You are recognized for your ability to inspire others.
  • A track record of developing innovations and launching new products. You are an expert at working within cross-functional teams and displaying a curiosity to understand diverse stakeholder perspectives.
  • You are proactive and have a natural ability to lead others/projects.
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of an additional European language considered an advantage.

Additional Information:

  • This position reports to the Global WASA Marketing Director.
  • Permanent local contract in Sweden, full time.
  • The expected start date is latest April 1st, 2024.
