Friday is looking for a driven Frontend Android developer on behalf of Marshall Group who wants to be part of an exciting journey forward. JOB DUTIES:
As a Frontend Android developer, you will work on developing the Android mobile application in Java and Kotlin. This means that you will work closely with other UX teams to come up with suitable solutions and functions for the application. You will be part of a tight team that currently consists of around ten employees but with the ambition to grow.

In detail, you will:

• Develop and maintain Android mobile applications in a scrum team.
• Work closely with the UX team to discuss the features and functionality of the application.
• Support and participate in validation activities.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and teamwork with the other developers in the team.
• Prototypes of new ideas, both individually and across teams.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• A college or university education in data/IT.
• Relevant knowledge/experience in Android app development from work or side projects.
• Knowledge of Java and Kotlin and understanding of design patterns for Android (MVVM, Dependency injection, Jetpack components).
• Strong knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as it is the core language of the company.

It is not a requirement, but meritorious if you have:

• Experience with RxJava, Dagger2 and Clean Architecture
• Good understanding of tests such as unit tests, UI tests, Jenkins etc.
• Experience interacting with Firebase, REST APIs, etc.
• Understanding of Bluetooth stack, communication over GATT and AVkit.
• Understanding of the WiFi stack.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:
This is a consulting assignment meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is for the assignment to result in permanent employment at the client company after 6-9 months of consultancy.
