About the role
Burger King Scandinavia's Marketing team is growing and we're looking for a hands-on Local Marketing Manager for the Swedish market to be responsible for adding input to our strategy and executing our marketing initiatives, brand communication, pricing, and promotions and working closely with the Marketing Team for Scandinavia. In this role, you will develop compelling retail marketing programs, locally adapted strategy, and promotions together with the Scandinavian marketing team which you've also aligned with the Marketing Director for Scandinavia. You will base them on brand and seasonal concepts from the marketing calendar, promoting the brand and services by delivering a seamless experience across different channels and delivering sales growth and main area KPIs. Our ideal candidate is a skilled, prestige-less, marketing executor with strategic height and a good relationship builder with a proven track record in a similar role.


Creating the best strategy for local store marketing and having an excellent execution as well as giving input to the overall strategy.
Responsible for driving PR in alignment with the Scandinavian team and agencies.
Responsible for local advertising campaigns and knowing details concerning consumers and local media publications.
New establishments - responsible for the implementation of the opening plan, creating a buzz and great marketing plan for the new openings or remodels.
Event - Planning and execution of local events together with the operation managers.
Signage and visibility - Ensure the best exposure both in and around the restaurants in the immediate area.
Local action plans - Responsible for the implementation of sales and traffic-driving activities as well as local PR.
Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop creative solutions with limited budgets.
You keep a close dialogue with our franchise partners and our operations. organization and make sure you get them on board with the campaigns and marketing initiatives we want to drive for the entire brand.
ROI – follow up all activities together with the Scandinavian Brand Lead to take quick actions and spend our money wisely.
Create effective promotions together with our Campaign & Calendar Manager.


  • Higher education in marketing or in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in marketing and advertising campaigns from campaign-intensive activities (retail, Quick service restaurant).
  • Outstanding communication and decision-making skills-
  • Experience in creating excellent marketing programs for restaurants/stores, for digital channels. Creating local marketing strategies and implementing these - with a limited budget - creative solutions and the ability to think outside the box are important qualities.
  • You master Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • You hold a driver's license.
  • You are good at negotiating with external partners and feel comfortable in these situations.
