POSITION SUMMARY:

Field Engineering of library solutions, including hardware and software. On behalf of our customers and reporting to the Field Services Delivery Manager. You will be tasked to carry out site surveys, installations, commissioning, testing of library solutions. This includes, self-service kiosks, security gates, circulation equipment, AMH, extended access to agreed quality standards, service level agreements and within a defined project budget where demand requires.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Implement deployment activities as scheduled & tasked
  • Conduct site surveys prior to solution deployment, as scheduled & tasked
  • Complete IT/software installation activities as scheduled & tasked
  • Implement modular break/fix onsite support, where demand requires
  • Conduct user/configuration customer training as required (training will be provided)
  • Complete a range of documentation in support of your role, e.g. field service reports, site survey risk assessments & method statements, Return Materials Authorisation, customer acceptance & handover documentation and complete monthly expenses
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain car stock, completing periodic stock checks as and when required
  • Act as an advocate & ambassador for the company, its products and services
  • Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy and presentable
EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS:
  • Good knowledge and experience of repairing/servicing/installing/commissioning PC based systems and peripheral's
  • Must be keen to develop and learn new skills and gain new knowledge.
  • Happy to travel extensively including regular overnight stays
  • A positive "can do" attitude is essential
  • Takes great pride and care in providing an exceptional service to customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an enquiring mind
  • Demonstrate good customer relationship
  • Demonstrate a good level of customer focus balanced with wider business awareness
  • Evidence previous experience in a field service role (telecoms/electronics/security systems or SW/IT based):
  • Access Control, Security Systems/CCTV experience a distinct advantage
  • Library solutions/RFID/EM experience an advantage – not mandatory
  • Areas of expertise: Network management, like IP, Port, FTP, Fileshare, Firewall.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of IT hardware,
  • Microsoft Office Solutions
  • Hold a valid driving license.
  • Have experience of working in a H&S regulated environment
  • Be physically able to work at heights
  • Be flexible, adaptable and trustworthy
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
