Sportproffsen was founded in 2020 as a part of a Nordic multi-channel sports retail group. The group is now in a period of strong growth and expansion. The Finnish parent company Kuntokauppa.fi was founded in 2007 and in the spring of 2021, the number of employees across the group is about 100 in Finland and Sweden. The core of the business model is strong competence in eCommerce combined with physical stores, high service level and innovative product development. Our new Swedish office is in Alviks Strand, and plans are underway to establish a warehouse-store in the Stockholm region.

We are now looking for a Unit Manager who will establish our first Warehouse Store in Sweden, with a total of 3000 sqm in the surrounding Stockholm area. The Unit Manager will lead the project from start to finish by planning, location assessing, budgeting and implement the business concept within time plan. The Warehouse store will also serve as the facility for the local customer service, technical service and eCommerce team. After establishment phase, your main goal is to drive sales and growth as well as optimize and develop customer experience in unit. We also expect that you add value by developing ideas for store concept evolution in collaboration with other unit managers in the Nordic region. This role will be part of the Swedish team and report to the COO, located in the Nordic HQ in Finland.

Main responsibilities for this role:
  • Establish the Warehouse Store and implement the full business concept
  • Procure and negotiate new suppliers and agreements needed for the new unit
  • Solve all practical issues and bottlenecks concerning the operation of the unit in a cost-effective manner
  • Drive sales growth within greater Stockholm area
  • Continuously follow up KPIs for efficiency, processes and quality in customer service and sales, logistics, and technical service
  • Support local team leaders to improve, develop and reach the highest standards in respective team
  • Follow up customer and employee experience and company culture in the unit to reach goals of excellence
  • Analyze competitor pricing, product and service models and report to management to liaise for actions (frequent visits to competitor’s store locations)
Main requirements for this role:
  • Experience from retail and knowledge in ecommerce
  • Experience from establishment projects and good knowledge of logistics
  • Proven ability to grow sales and create customer centric organizations
  • Ability to successfully manage big, complex and long projects
  • Leadership experience and passion for employee experience
  • Strong experience in building new operations and establish processes
  • Fluent verbal and written English
