Principal Accountabilities:


•Development of 3 to 5 year Capex strategy for      engineering in conjunction with Region Leadership Teams, Functional      Engineering and Sites
•Drive strategic engineering and quality      initiatives throughout region
•Provides leadership and consulting to      management to ensure project delivery & minimization of unplanned      carry over
•Management of projects to meet objectives of      time, quality and cost
•Gatekeeper of project prioritization,      justification, and scheduling timeline, including sign off on stage gate      reviews governance
•Budget Level Management responsibility for      assigned sites
•Engineering approver of FCA’s to ensure      compliance with policies, project management practices and budgets
•Development and implementation of metrics to      influence more effective strategic planning
•Contributes to the development of capital and      expense budgets for multiple facilities
•Coordinates resources and activities with      division engineering, field engineering and leadership teams
•Contributes to the development of      justifications for non-expense activities via ROI
•Prioritizes capital needs based on division      strategy and ROI potential
•Contributes to the development and      prioritization of special projects within the region
•Keeps abreast of latest engineering technology      in paint processing and packaging
•Stays knowledgeable of other engineering      disciplines and how they interrelate on a particular project
•Support all engineering and maintenance      activities at multiple facilities within division in the five areas of      Operational Excellence (Safety, Service, Quality, Productivity and Cost)


Job description:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The Regional Capex Manager has responsibility for Capex project planning, execution & delivery in designated area within the EMEAI region. This position serves as champion and leader in driving regional engineering initiatives, developing, and complying with global Engineering standards and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the entire supply chain project delivery process. This position serves as an engineering project technical consultant for the region and site support. It forms a significant part of the overall Governance and Assurance requirements for capital projects delivery.

Works closely with EMEAI Region Projects Manager, Regional Engineering Director, Regional Leadership Teams (RED, ADO’s & Functional Regional Engineers) to develop and achieve business goals, improve processes and resolve engineering related issues for project delivery in a timely manner



•Accountable for the management and leadership of all aspects of Engineering and Maintenance support in the five areas of      Operational Excellence (Safety, Service, Quality, Productivity, Cost) for assigned area sites
•Works closely with regional leadership teams,  regional engineering, plant management and site employees to develop      innovative cost-effective capital plans to implement division strategies
•Acts as the first layer of independent   Assurance for successful project delivery, with respect to project charter  & success criteria
•Individually identifies innovation  opportunities and champion development of new project proposals.
•Capital project execution including design,  justification, implementation and management
•Gate keeper for regions capital budget and  site project stage gate review and submission
•Identifies, recommends, and leads portfolio of  strategic projects that directly contribute to business results
•Drive continuous improvement in project  management competency, execution, and effectiveness of capital and special      projects spending


Required profile:



•Collaborates with cross-departmental teams to develop integrated solutions for business systems
•Leads continuous improvement projects to support the five focus areas (Safety, Service, Quality, Productivity, Cost)
•Ensures capital systems reliability, and accuracy for the purpose of data reporting and analysis
•Responsible for leveraging engineering best practices in their region
•Collaborate with regional engineering teams to facilitate standardization and continuous improvement to continuously improve people, systems, tools, and processes
•Provides guidance to develop appropriate communication and execution strategies for projects and programs
•Primary engineering contact for assigned sites for Capex related queries
•Champions and manages the engineering standards compliance matrix with the field
•Support Reliability Excellence and Standard Work initiatives
•Develops and manages onboarding and training plans for new hires, and internal growth level field candidates.
•Assists with site Capex talent calibration reviews

Position Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Equivalent in European professional academic qualification
Preferred: Engineering of Project Management Degree or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience:
Required:


•Organized.  Excellent communication      skills. Goal-oriented. Understanding of full capital project life cycle      process
•Several years in a role delivering projects      through the full life cycle

•Extensive years of experience in operations, management, project or continuous improvement or related role
•Success in field engineering and/or operations management roles
•Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
•Experience in Six Sigma or other business improvement methodology would be of benefit
•Must have a good level of English both speaking and writing

Primary Location
Location is based geographically to leverage experience in terms of local language, regulatory requirements and travelling distance.
