The services the team provides are in use by large parts of Schibsted such as FINN, Blocket, VG, Aftonbladet and Helthjem.
In Schibsted's Developer Foundations team, we enable developers throughout Schibsted to work efficiently, also with a focus on cost, innovation, and by advocating for secure and reliable software development processes. We do this by providing CI/CD tooling, Kubernetes runtime environments, Metrics and Logging services, and working closely with the teams all over the company.
You will be part of the Developer Foundations leadership team, and you will be responsible for a diverse team composed of developers, SREs, and DevOps engineers. You will help ensure we are working on the correct things and enable the team to focus on providing value to Schibsted and our brands (55+ and growing!). We are looking for someone who is familiar with the leading by example leadership mindset.
In this role you will:- Manage a central team of engineers with backgrounds from different disciplines within software development
- Help build reliable and scalable solutions that will be used by brands and teams in different parts of Schibsted
- Work in a distributed environment with engineers based in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark
- Develop people through coaching and mentoring. Conduct regular 1:1, goal setting, and feedback conversations with engineers to ensure their well-being and team health, and support them in their performance and growth. Continuously work to improve inclusion and belonging on your team and within our organisation
- Attract, onboard, and retain talent
- Participate in the manager forum with other people managers in Schibsted Data & Tech
About you:- You have previous experience as an engineering manager
