Research Engineer

About the role

As a Research Engineer at Scania you will collaborate with internal colleagues as well as students and researchers from KTH. In general, you will work with tech transfer and bring the research results from research projects into practical use at Scania. Those projects are focused on system safety for trucks and buses. You will work with SCRUM and be responsible for your own projects including architecture, programming and implementation. You will be responsible for helping and supporting supervision of MSc thesis students and apply research results in case studies. Furthermore, you will create language and modelling tools in Eclipse and develop tool support to engineers, e.g. in Jenkins. 5-10% of the time you will work with EU-project administration (budget, reporting, etc).

Desired background

• You have studied Computer Science or a similar education
• You have experience in Java, Python and/or Eclipse
• You are fluent in English, both oral and written (it is a plus if you speak Swedish)

As a person you are self-going, structured and analytical. You are a driven person with the ability to work towards certain and uncertain goals. Furthermore, you are interested in new technology and methodology, especially in the area of formal verification.
