At Sandvik Coromant, we encourage new ideas, provide you with great opportunities for development and are always looking for talented people who would like to extend their potential. If you have the skills, we can help you put them into great use!
Right now, we're looking for a business-minded, curious and resourceful Assistant to the General Manager of our Sales Area in North Europe – someone who truly finds a passion in organizing, coordinating and multitasking in the middle of a global, dynamic and customer-centric environment filled with inspiring and innovative people.
About the job
In this position, you have an important role in our sales area organization, as you're the right-hand to our General Manager. You assist with bookings, approvals and expenses, and you manage information material, agendas, minutes and documentation. When needed, you also support other members of our leadership team. Besides working with the regular range of administration for an assistant, we also want you to add business value by bringing your voice to the table, asking questions and giving insights. Through an organized and agile partnership, you ensure optimized office setups, and you plan and coordinate our leadership meetings as well as other conferences and gatherings. You have a widely spread network, interacting with many different parts of the Sandvik organization, but also with external customers and partners worldwide. Additionally, you contribute in finding improvements that lead to smart and modern ways of working.
We have our office in Kista (Stockholm) and this is also where you need to be located. Some travel within the sales area is normally included in your job.
We need someone with high ambitions, great service skills, a professional attitude as well as the ability and eagerness to learn new things. Your previous career most likely includes similar administrative roles, and you're a master of structure, coordination and documentation. A relevant academic degree is a plus, and as you're supporting a sales organization, it's beneficial with broad interest in this area. You're used to a global environment and interacting with people from different backgrounds, countries and cultures, and you communicate and present information fluently in English. As we become more and more digital, you're also tech-savvy with great skills in Office 365, Sharepoint and Teams, and you comfortably explore new digital office solutions.
With organized and straightforward ways of working - and not to forget a doer's mentality - you're always two steps ahead, spot what needs to be done and then you act! Yes, you truly enjoy a shifting setting, where you ensure accuracy and take pride in delivering on time. You also stay calm under pressure and can switch gears at a moment's notice. Although you independently know how to prioritize and solve problems on the go, you're a true team player with a great gift for networking and communicating. Naturally, we believe that giving flexible service is in the core of your character and you're thorough, unassuming and resourceful as you offer your support.
