SEB Trainee: Fixed Income Derivatives Sales

In Fixed Income Derivatives Sales at SEB in Stockholm you will work at the trading floor where you will have significant responsibility for developing client business and building long term client relationships. As collaboration is key for the success of our business, you will have the opportunity to start building a professional network within SEB and learn how different parts integrate with each other.

Simultaneously with working in the role being recruited to, you will participate in SEB´s International Trainee Programme, which gives you the opportunity to develop an extensive network within the bank, gain a deep understanding of the international financial industry and be professionally and personally challenged.

Your Trainee Position and Your Team

In this role, you will work as an advisor to your clients, developing solutions for the management of financial risks related to interest rates and foreign exchange. Your aim is to solve financial problems related to interest rate and currency risks for a wide range of clients in the corporate and financial institutional client segments using fixed income derivatives. You will have the opportunity to work with long term client relationships where you will largely focus on driving your own business and working closely with different parts of SEB. As Fixed Income Derivatives Sales you will work in a close-knit team striving for the same goal, to get the most satisfied customers and make great deals that are successful for our clients and SEB in an increasingly challenging macro environment.

Your Required Skills

We are looking for a future colleague with a genuine interest in the financial markets. The person we are looking for has:
  • An academic degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • Graduated before programme start and within the last three years
  • Relevant work experience within sales or the financial industry
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
You are a social and outgoing person who enjoys building relationships and has a genuine interest in networking. To thrive in this role, you should have very strong analytical skills, be curious and enjoy problem-solving. We also see it as important that you are a responsible person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you drive your own business. But most importantly, you have high ambitions to develop within the team!
