Regulatory Compliance & Internal Governance is a first line function within SEB's Large Corporates and Financial Institutions division ("LC&FI") that has been established to support divisional management in their regulatory oversight and control of LC&FI's activities, and the development of the division's internal governance. We are now looking for a Regulatory Officer keen to deliver on the exciting mandate of this new team as well as drive its development. About the job
The role offers great variety and development opportunities, with the scope of the work being both global and cross segments and products. As a key member of the team you will be working with developing first line compliance across LC&FI's matrix organisation to help ensure compliance with regulatory obligations. This can take various forms such as leading divisional wide regulatory compliance initiatives, driving regulatory interpretation and advice, involvement in supervisor activities, or developing our interactions with senior management. You will also work on improving LC&FI's core internal governance framework such as the division's committees, instructions and divisional policies. Whilst this is a new role, it builds on what already exists within the division and you will work with experienced colleagues throughout the division, such as in the Business Areas, and Legal, as well as with second line Group Compliance. You will be located in Stockholm. Who are you?
You likely have a legal or compliance background, and a legal qualification is preferable. Importantly, you are analytical, a self-starter and a problem-solver who follows up and is able to take sound decisions with integrity in a complex environment. You have excellent collaboration skills but you are able to challenge views and approaches if required. You will build constructive working relationships at all levels of the division and support colleagues in improving regulatory compliance and internal governance whilst balancing business priorities; hence you have a good understanding of how business and regulation intersect. You should already have or be capable of rapidly developing a good understanding of the full range of LC&FI's businesses. The seniority of the role is flexible, but as a minimum you will likely have 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is a prerequisite.Submit your CV and a brief personal letter in English describing why you are interested and suitable for the position, no later than 23rd August 2022.
