The internship in short
Your internship starts off with an introduction to SEB and ends with a presentation of your experience to managers, colleagues and other summer interns. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of global trading and commercial banking. What you will do
As an intern within Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC), you will be part of the team covering banks, financial intermediaries and fintech companies. This team is responsible for the overall client relationships with global and home-market banks and financial intermediaries. In addition to providing products and services to clients in the segment, we also source products and services from these counterparties.
Within FIC we recently launched a strategic initiative to cover fast growing companies within the financial sector. Part of this work is to evaluate potential clients and to assist in this effort you will be tasked with creating a digital tool to assist in the assessment of prospective clients. You will also assist and drive other projects within the team such as data collection, analysis and presenting results to the team. In this role you will have regular contact with all areas within the LC&FI division of SEB, our clients and our IT department.
Who are you?
You are a strong team player with a positive attitude and an analytical mind-set. Furthermore, you are creative and enjoy finding new ways of approaching issues. For this particular role we are looking for a person who is interested and knowledgeable within IT and is looking to learn more about the business side. Social skills and an ability to approach clients are important attributes.
We welcome applicants with a wide variety of backgrounds, but we expect proficiency in programs such as Excel and PowerPoint and a keen interest in the financial markets. You have one year left of university studies after finishing this internship.
