The internship in short
Your internship starts off with an introduction to SEB and ends with a presentation of your experiences to managers, colleagues and other summer interns. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of global trading and commercial banking. What you will do
As an intern in the Liquid Alternatives team your main work tasks will be to help the team with special projects such as data searching and compiling for presentations, structuring Excel spreadsheets and cleaning up data in various databases. An example of tasks that the team will be looking to perform is to enhance the qualitative reporting of one its products with an Impact/ESG tilt, where the right applicant could be of help.
The Liquid Alternatives team within Solutions is responsible for finding exposures to investment strategies across all assets classes with low correlation to traditional assets such as equities and bonds.
Who are you?
You are a person with an interest in the financial markets. You enjoy teamwork and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. You are creative and open-minded. You have excellent Excel skills and preferably also skills in some programming language. You are probably in the second half of your university program, perhaps within finance or industrial engineering and management or equivalent.
Meriting for this role is practical experience from e.g. an asset manager, a financial department with hands on data work including Excel. An interest in ESG/sustainability or machine learning is also viewed as a plus.
