The internship in short
Your internship starts off with an introduction to SEB and ends with a presentation of your experience to managers, colleagues and other summer interns. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of global trading and commercial banking. What you will do
Solutions is responsible for product development and advisory and our toolbox includes Portfolio Optimization, Big data, Sustainability analysis and Machine-learning. We are a great team of quants, fund manager analysts, structurers and strategists and ourselves working with risk advisory. Institutional advisory is a subunit of Solutions, a cutting-edge team producing sophisticated investment and hedging solutions to the largest financial institutions. Examples of what we do include risk management, portfolio diversification, hedging and quantitative modelling of sustainable investments.
As a summer intern you will assist in the development and improvement of financial risk and allocation models. You will also analyse and update our yearly review of the asset allocation and sustainability strategies of Swedish life & pension funds. Our models are coded in R and therefore programming is a natural part of the job. Furthermore you will gain a deep understanding of asset and liability management and learn how to address asset allocation challenges, such as diversification problems and hedging/derivatives strategies.
Who are you?
You are analytical, creative and good at simplifying what is complex. You have one year left of university studies in a relevant field after finishing this internship. It is meriting with relevant programming skills. You also have a keen interest in sustainability and a good mastery of the Swedish language.
It is a plus if you can continue working part-time after the internship period.
